Program Flow
This is the opposite of a crash diet! There are no special foods, supplements or strict dietary rules. The goal of this program is establishment and maintenance of positive, healthy lifestyle changes resulting in slow, sustainable weight loss. Underlying thoughts and behaviors causing weight difficulties are explored. There is a heavy focus on rewarding successes rather than emphasizing failures.
Anyone with a strong desire and willingness to commit to change unhealthy lifestyle habits.
2 weeks of preparation for the lifestyle changes
Monitoring diet through planning and tracking
Exercise – spontaneous and planned
Examination of factors underlying weight through assignments and sessions
Targeting other behaviors as needed (e.g., sleep, social drinking, clutter)
Sessions can be done in person (Houston area) or by phone
Initial brief consultation
2 hour intake session
7 additional 1 hour weekly sessions
4 bi-weekly 1 hour sessions
8 monthly sessions
Maintenance
